Priscilla Chan is an American Pediatrician and philanthropist. Chan was at the top of her
class and was valedictorian for her own high school graduation. She went on to attend
Harvard University where she met Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, who
would later become her husband. After obtaining a Biology degree from Harvard, Chan
pursued her medical degree at University of California, San Francisco, in 2008. Together,
Zuckerberg and Chan have founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) which works on
improving education, science, immigration, housing, local issues, and criminal justice
reform. Back in 2016 the couple pledged to spend $3 billion on CZI’s science initiative.
Chan decided to leave full time medical practice to lead and be the CEO of CZI.

Reading is an important tool that will help a child succeed in life. Teaching reading skills to a child at an early age is crucial. By the time, a child is 1 to 2 years old, the child has learned to discover his or her surroundings and is slowly learning to communicate with others.
At this stage, the child is learning simple words, and phrases, that allows the child to communicate with his or her brothers, sisters and parents. There are some steps, that you can implement to assist a child with developing his or her reading skills.
